Vibrational Yoga - Heart Chakra

The Heart (Anahata) chakra is the center of love and compassion for all and ourselves. It also helps with emotional balance, self-awareness and empathy. Associated with the color green (or often pink), it’s located at the heart center in the chest area 💚 💓

Upper backbends and chest openers expand the heart space to activate this chakra. Eagle pose arms or bear hug stimulate the back side of the heart space (also gives you a self-love hug!)

Mountain pose (tadasana) is a standing asana. Adding the cactus arms backbend offers the heart up to the sky, to cultivate self-love and radiate love to others. Stand tall, grounding through your feet. Sweep your arms up to the sky for mountain pose, then bend your elbows at a 90 degree angle and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Open your chest to the sky and send your gaze up. This helps balance the heart chakra to welcome inner peace, unconditional love and joy within ourselves and our surroundings.
